Urgent Relief for Earthquake Victims in Herat, Afghanistan - Join Hands with AWAKEN

In the wake of the recent devastating 6.3 magnitude earthquake that struck Herat, Afghanistan, we find ourselves in a heart-wrenching situation. The death toll has surpassed 2,000, and the Afghan people are burying their loved ones one by one. Thousands more are left with nothing as their homes have been completely destroyed and are in urgent need of assistance.

For over 20 years, AWAKEN has been a beacon of hope in the Nangarhar province, providing critical healthcare, education, women's vocational training, and emergency relief to families in need. Today, we stand at a critical juncture as our dedicated staff in Afghanistan has already started extending emergency relief and support to the families affected by the earthquake in Herat. Our goal is to raise $15,000 to help these families and children impacted by the earthquake, as our team will be distributing around $100 for each family impacted so that they can purchase food, water, clothes, blankets, and tents. Our staff is partnering with local charitable organizations to ensure that all funds raised goes directly to the affected families.
