Assalamu Alaikaum! My name is Rumina Rizvi and I'm working this Ramadan to raise awareness about the Uyghur community in Turkey, and the great work that the team at Human Concern International is doing to empower them to become productive members of Turkish society. With your support, we can train women to earn an income, provide children with access to education, and deliver essential supplies to families in need.

Supporting the Uyghurs in Turkey

In Turkey, our main goal is to support Uyghur single mothers and orphans. Due to the situation in China, there are many single mothers who have had their husbands killed, captured, or gone missing. HCI will sponsor Uyghur orphans and support a vocational training center to equip Uyghur single mothers with skills to earn a living. We will be providing sowing machines and training for the single mothers so that they can earn a living for themselves and their families.

Educating Uyghur Children

Human Concern International is supporting Uyghur children to pursue their education and widen their horizons. As Uyghur children assimilate to a new culture, it is important to ensure they attain an education that enables them to become productive members of their society. It's also important to educate them on their native culture, language, and identity. This way, they can build a strong community together and have a home away from home.

Orphaned Children

In Eastern Turkey there are thousands of orphaned children living in orphanages. These children are taken care of through donations made by you. They receive shelter, clothing, food, education, healthcare and more. While we have provided children with the support they need, there are thousands of children who remain without help. We need your support to ensure that no child is left behind.
