The Current Situation​

​Due to the COVID-19 Global Pandemic, the Canadian Health Care System is overburdened, which has placed an increased demand for Personal Protective Equipment such as N95 Masks, surgical masks, face shields, gowns, gloves, and more.  Although this demand has risen dramatically in the past 2 months, global suppliers have been unable to catch up to the need, which leaves our frontline workers (Healthcare, Administration Staff, Cleaning and Sanitation Team) exposed to contracting the COVID-19 Virus.

If health care workers don't have adequate protection, they are risking their lives by coming into contact with people infected by COVID-19.  This means there is an ever-increasing risk that each patient who enters a clinic or emergency department, with or without symptoms, could be infected with COVID-19.  Every time a health care worker is infected with the virus, Canada loses a member of the front-line team.
