If you know me, you'll know that I'm just an ordinary person with a passion for helping extraordinary individuals. Individuals like those resilient souls in families who've fled their homes to protect their children from the ongoing Yemen crisis. Whilst this is a situation that has been going on for many years, the recent situation in Gaza has meant that aid has been cut off to one of the poorest countries in the world. This is where we come in to help!

The conflict in Yemen has resulted in the largest humanitarian crisis in the world after Syria. Thousands of Yemeni civilians have been killed or maimed. Tens of thousands of civilians have been killed and injured since 2015, and a quarter of all civilians killed in air raids were women and children. More than 17 million people in Yemen are experiencing food insecurity. Millions of Yemenis are at at risk of starving to death in an entirely preventable and man made famine. These men, women and children are #NotJustNumbers. 

Whilst there air raids had stopped for a short time, recent activity as a result of the Gaza situation as meant that aid is not getting to those desperately in need due to political reasons. There is nothing political however about the innocent men, women and children food insecure across the country.

As a young, working professional living a relatively privileged life, thousands of miles away in the UK, I want to help improve the lives of refugees experiencing severe hardship. I am blessed to have been brought up in a family heavily involved in this sector, and have travelled on previous deployments to Syria, Turkey, Bosnia, Bangladesh and Lebanon. From a young age, I have witnessed first hand how YOUR DONATIONS can directly SAVE LIVES on aid missions and provide much needed supplies for Yemeni families surviving the war. 

Our team will be distributing YOUR donations and updating you via social media throughout and after the deployment. We will be flying out inshallah to help in lifesaving aid projects in Yemen during the LAST 10 DAYS OF RAMADAN, (towards the start of April 2024 iA). Even if we are not able to travel to the region due to government restrictions, all donations will still be sent directly to Yemen.
